The averages

Rajesh Sharma

NEPSE reflects the average. In statistics average is fine but in actual, it may be both blue and red. One story goes like this: Two students of statistic were to cross a river. One was 6 feet 6 inches tall and the other was 5 feet 2. The depth of the river was 5 feet and 3 inches. The students added their height and divided by two, which was 5 feet 10 inches. They decide that they could cross the river as their average height was 7inches higher than the depth of the river. They proceeded to the river and one took the journey to heave as he was 1 inch shorter than the depth of the river. Hence, we should keep buying and selling looking at companies. The mark 1175 is just a reflection of the collective.
